Situated in the heart of Cheddar village in Somerset, UK, less than half-a-mile from the famous Caves and Cheddar George, The Bath Arms Hotel boasts facilities and service that guarantee an enjoyable visit.

James Low, the Proprietor since 1986, ensures that The Bath Arms Hotel maintains its long established and well deserved reputation with visitors and locals alike.

The hotel provides a perfect base from which to explore our beautiful region, offering the following facilities:

Village Bar - A comfortable lounge servicing a busy lunch and evening trade in home cooked food and a wide selection of drinks including real ales and local ciders. Open daily from 8am for tea and coffee. We also offer free Wi-Fi internet access!

George's Bar and Restaurant - A non-smoking area where morning coffee and breakfast is available daily from 8am, with food from our extensive menu available daily from noon until 10.00pm. Our excellent head chef has worked to extremely high standards and continues to gain a good local reputation with his team of qualified assistants. We are one of only a very small number of pubs/hotels in the country to have been awarded British Cheese Board accreditation.

Accommodation - Comfortable standard and en-suite rooms are available for both short and longer stays with us. All rooms have a TV, tea/coffee making facilities, telephone and central heating. A free internet terminal is available at reception for customer use.

George's Lounge - Our function room seats approximately 100 people and is available for private hire. The room is ideally suited for weddings and other special occasions as well as for use by local clubs and societies. The room is named after its connection with three Georges: King George VI - who had lunch in the hotel in 1941; George's Brewery - who supplied the hotel during the 1950s; and last but not least, because of the hotel's original name, The George Inn.

Garden and Parking - The large garden is situated at the rear of the hotel, away from traffic, and has splendid views of the Mendip Hills. Modern play equipment is provided for use by children. Parking is available for approximately 60 cars at the rear of the hotel.
